The staff team at Cromwell House are experts in providing care for younger adults who have autism and associated learning difficulties. Our knowledge and experience of the autism spectrum is extensive and we have acquired skills and developed strategies that can help with even the most demanding individuals from high functioning Asperger's syndrome to profound learning disabilities.

The owners and registered managers are Diane Taylor-House and Brian Coates. We believe that 'learning is for life' and the knowledge that we gain from our on-going training programs allows us to remain at the forefront of current thought and promotes good practice. We deliver a quality services that enhances both the lives of our service users and their carers.

Our staff members receive excellent training and are actively encouraged to attain relevant certificated qualifications e.g. NVQ levels 2, 3 and 4 in Care, Studio III 'Managing Challenging Behaviours' (BILD accredited), Non Aggressive Physical and Psychological Intervention (NAPPI), Gentle Teaching, Somerset Total Communication (signing) etc.

 Facilities The staff team participated in the National Autistic Society's 'Accreditation Program'. They are exceptional people who have many personal skills and attributes that enhance the lives and well-being of our service users.

Our staff team includes a qualified 'special needs' teacher who continues to use her knowledge and experience to help our service users overcome their communication difficulties. Elements of PECS, TEACCH and Somerset Total Communication are used to develop appropriate strategies and techniques.

The ASDAN teaching programme is also operational and is delivered in-house.
Cromwell House offers a wide range of activities that are tailor made to meet the needs of its service users.
